Adrien and I made this in memory of our old hermit crab, Amos, who died of unkown causes.
It's pretty much a top veiw of what he would look like...only the swirled side of the shell is shown. We made the shell out of gingerbread and covered it in icing and sprinkles, and his body is made out of fruit sticks that we cut up. His big red eyes are mini marshmallows that we dyed red. It took us several days to complete. ** This is 100% edible. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Pet Growth - A community for pet lovers!
We're thinking about making a little "shrine" to him in our new tank, when we get it set up. Poor little guy, we don't really know what he died of. I have a feeling he got into a fight with Napoleon, and Napoleon cicked the crap out of him. He had a hurt leg, but never dropped it like most crabs do. Probably got an infection...
